We woke up this morning, watching the parade (yes, keeping the cynicism buried), at least the kids are excited watching, recognising the state flags, singing the anthem etc. Ahh..change has to start with the young

Anyway, hope y’all have a happy day!! Lanterns hopefully and making pancakes today

j1 has lost another tooth!

His front tooth has dropped out (middle, left) Just came out today as he was eating an apple slice

He’s got an impressive gap now.. I can truly call him boh geh now (no tooth).

Would you listen to me (and friends) babble?

Would you listen to myself and friends (or friends and myself) babble on a variety of subjects? Would you listen to us rant and rave and vent and expoliate (is that the right word? Not to be mistaken with exfoliate of course haha) on a variety of subjects, from books, to kids, to movies, to cooking, to life, to swimming, to “how-tos”, to anything?

Would you join in as “callers” or as special guests? Would you huh? huh?

Toying with it all at the moment, not sure what to use technology wise or software wise.. Video podcasts might even be possible if we found out more how to go about it etc. Especially with the “how-to” stuff?

We hope to watch the (I have to admit, its kinda sickening to see the overly BN centric celebrations) parade tomorrow as one way of establishing a Merdeka Day tradition! IF we can get our lanterns together and the makan (less of the sick kids thing), lagi best

ahhh folks.. the Cuddly household is hit by sickness. J2 and Cuddly Daddy are knocked out.

Happy Merdeka!

This weekend is our 51st Merdeka (independence). In many ways we haven’t felt like celebrating, esp with what’s been happening lately (jelak betul!).

Anyway, as always we do our own quiet little celebration Since the lantern festival is about, we got the kids some glass paper lanterns (none of those REALLLLLLLY annoying plastic jobs with music and flashing lights, EEEEEEEEEE!!!!) and those tiny candles. We plan to have a mini celebration on sunday with the lanterns, some makan (hopefully can get the”muhibbah” spread). The state flags (lil ones) are hanging up in the kids playroom (which Im trying to clean up AGAIN lol it never ends) on the shelves there. We have our posters of the different states and the boys want us to plan road trips over the years to visit all over malaysia. And why not, hubby and I say!?

anyway, my dear fellow Malaysians, HAPPY MERDEKA or SELAMAT MENYAMBUT HARI KEMERDEKAAN!

The cost of living..

yup, went grocery shopping today.

our life’s blood.. otherwise known as milk.. has gone up almost RM1 more since I last went.. that was about 2-3weeks ago.

It’s getting riduculous the price of things now. And we are supposed to be middle class. Bah! I mean, fortunately, I’ve been working hard to trim here and there and shop smart and all that but.. this is food.. imagine you;d have to give up more and more to give your kids a healthy, well balanced meal. What gives???

I wish the gomen would spend more time addressing these far more important issues than who doing who where.. but they just seem so oblivious!
