Oh this takes the biscuit!
It’s the De Facto Lawyer Man again!
Nazri comes up with this priceless gem.
hahahhahaha I just couldnt stop laughing. Wake up, matey boy.
” The Umno supreme council member said it appeared that the Malays, especially in the town areas, had become more confident now and felt they could compete with the other races on a level playing field. “We (Umno) have to really sit down and think. It looks like the educated Malays do not care about Malay rights anymore,” he said when contacted. “The Malay doctors, lawyers, engineers feel they have made it on their own merit. “It looks like the NEP is not something that can be used to persuade the Malays to support the Barisan Nasional. “The Malays are saying ‘you can’t scare us by talking about us losing our rights, because we are here on our own merit’.” “. ”
Oh mannnn that is funny. So admitting to threatening discontent is it? Wake up y’all. outdated already, need something else better, more thought out..
but He still provides amusement value.. haha
Congratulations… to..
Ren and Yvonne on the birth of their new baby daughter Deborah, yday pm, 2.78kg, natural delivery.
Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
More on post election fever
Umno Youth Chief allegedly says this now.
It’s reduced poverty among all races? yeah ke? Why pick on the DAP? Why not PAS or PKR? You said you don’t need the other 40% of the population mah.. So why whine now?
In adversity, this is how they are. Again with the whole “Race vs race” thing. Jelak betul!
BR really has to step up to the plate, go beyond this (that includes you too, Uncle Lim KS). The Rakyat is watching..
I’ve just realised that lately this blog is mostly political. haha I guess with the GE12 just habis, things are “hot news”. I need to vary my subjects LOL
Post election over excitedness.
This article made me laugh. Wonder if the UMNO bigwigs themselves realise this.
There was an article in today’s Sun (But I can’t find it online) where one Penang UMNO fella has “told” the federal govt to withdraw funding for all their projects in the various states that have now gone over to the Opposition. Page 4 in the Sun today. Now I quote:
headline reads: UMNO: STOP FUNDING MEGA PROJECTS” (I’d agree with that one but not for the reasons he’s saying hee).
Penang: State Umno leaders want the federal government to withdraw federal funding for all the mega projects planned for the state and also to stop the Rapid-Penang bus service.
Penaga Assemblyman Datuk Azhar Ibrahim who is now opposition leader (Note: HAHAHA) said he will apply to the federal govt to stop all mega projects (Penang 2nd bridge, monorail transit system, penang Outer ring road) and leave penang out of th eNorther Corridor Economic Region scheme. He told a press conference the BN govt has promised all of these to the people and yet they rejected the BN govt by voting for DAP and PKR. “Let them see what DAP and PKR can do for them”, he said. End Quote.
EDITED: the NST had something on it here.
my first reaction was: WTF!? First of all, it’s not UMNO/BN money matey boy. It’s GOVT, i’e the PEOPLE’s money. So the voters in his constituiency who voted for him, kesian them right? So in that case, does it mean penang people don’t have to pay the govt tax money, plough it back into their state instead? Not all of these projects are good I guess. What an arrogant **#(#)@ dont you think it’s so childish tho? You didnt vote for me, I go merajuk and don’t want to friend you already. (rolls eyes).I wonder if this would only serve to PO more people? hehe
And yet they still have to talk abt racial representation. Perak also. Aiyo, I feel like smacking their heads together and saying LOOK TWITS, ifyou dont show how u can work together for the betterment of the RAKYAT that voted for you, go away and BN will win and you screwed yourselves. DOH! Same aso for BN lah. you effed up, you pay at the ballot box what..
Now is the time for Barisan Rakyat to sort themselves out and to prove they can do it better.
now this is funny. PM wants fewer members in cabinent. hahahaha thats cos he has less cronies to choose from. Also doesnt he have to choose ministers from the various states ke? Can’t see him choosing an opposition candidate. hehehee There are rumours of Kj b/c a Deputy Finance Minister. Aiyoo. He would really be out of touch if that’s the case. We shall see anyway.
Tan Sri Khalid, show us that the Coalition can work, show us that you aren’t just anwar’s lap dogs k? Im sorry, I still can’t find it to trust the man but I’ve met other PKR folks, ok lah
Now let’s see..
don’t they get it?!
Aiyo, dont these BN fellas get it?!
People are tired of being lumped together into racial categories lah. Tired of the racial politics, the “power sharing but not really sharing lah” dynamics of BN. Thats why you got TROUNCED dudes..
Then this belligerant, sore loser of a BN-MCA fella in Perak has to whine about this!
Mate, it’s like you working with the UMNO puteras who’ve gone over themselves to out-islam the state (when it suits them). They’ve worked out a workable compromise, all within the law. If DAP allowed the perak state govt to be an out and out islamic govt, then a bit different lah. But thus far, its not that way.
What a load of crock! Who elected him?!!??! Aiyoooo…
Js birth story
Decided to post this up (for “back up”).
I couldn’t find the document I typed up last time
So I will do what I can from memory and I malas go search through our umpteen archives LOL
at 38 weeks, the Js were head down but bumping each other. Thought that I was having a lot of discharge, once when out and about with Mum and Dad, mentioned it and mum suggested I call the doctor. Doc said to come in. So we did. Found out it that it was amniotic fluid and one sack was almost dry and we would have to do an emergency csection. I was pretty upset cos I wanted natural birth and I tried asking if I can induce, he said if it was earlier, then maybe
so made the calls. Headed to DSH. (thanks to my folks!). D rushed off from work. The Gang all came, which surprised the staff at DSH ahhaha Poor Sree even got mistaken for the expectant father (poor man LOL). I got prepped and we were wheeled upstairs. The place was so cold! D was there with me (I definitely opted for a spinal block instead) and I heard my babies cry, d took a pix of eahc when they were out. It was around 630pm or so (I can’t remember LOL) and I got to kiss my babies before they went to be cleaned up etc. At that time they werent so breastfeeding friendly, eck. I just remember the theatre being so cold etc and I was left there for so long. Anyway, it certainly was an experience, the pain etc, trying to get to grips to breastfeeding etc (this is before I knew any lactation consultant, any support group). I knew that it was the best for my boys so I had to keep going.
Thats a very short summary of it all LOL but thats all I can remember!
Moment of Nostalgia.
I was reading MoomyKin’s blog which jogged my memory as to the boys birth stories.
Js birth story. I have to give them their own post. I have to find their birth story hehe last time no blog u know
will edit when I find it
NB: I didn’t find it. Also, Im too lazy to shift thru the archives. Here’s a summary.
More spindoctoring?
It’s funny about how all the local TV stations and all that would play up on the Opposition, i.e oh they won’t be able to agree on anything, they don’t know how to work together, there’s economic ramifications blah blah blah blah. (oh like BN’s done such a great job in many places is it?).
Now THIS really takes the cake.. Rafidah (not sure what her proper title is) declares in this bernama snippet: “She added the opposition would not dare to change the policy in the states which they rule as this would only chase away investors from the states.
Citing Penang, which is now under DAP, Rafidah said if they change the policy, the state would suffer economic ramifications.”
Oh really? I’m pretty confident that the MAJORITY state govt will do what is right and keep the policies that WORK and edit/remove the policies that don’t work (For Penangites, the PGCC is one that I SINCERELY hope they stop cos it just plain REEKS). For Selangor etc I hope they preserve the Sg Buloh etc (since we’ve already lost the UM lands to commercial) forest reserves. Development doesnt always mean good things. Careful and sustainable development etc is best. Tan Sri Khalid, I really have faith in you and your “geng”. Let’s hope it happens.
I think she forgets (Rafidah that is) that is not the political party that matters so much to foreign investors, it’s good governance etc.
the RAKYAT has spoken. Now it’s time for BARISAN RAKYAT to step up to the plate and show us what you can do.
Holy Elections! what a shocker!
Check malaysiakini for results. Unbelievable, so proud and pleased to be Malaysian, even more so now!
Penang, my home town, you showed them!
Now selangor and other states have taken their stance. I wonder what now?
my newspaper not yet in hehe Gee, wonder how they are going to spin in now.
CONGRATULATIONS to R. Sivarasa my new MP! Also CONGRATULATIONS and HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Elizabeth Wong, our new ADUN (state assembly).
Tsunami of change has hit Malaysia. Dang, it’s going to be interesting!
Voting day!
It felt good to cast my vote today. D’s a first time voter. We went over early this morning with the monkeys. It was relatively quick, painless and quiet though. I don’t know if it was cos it was relatively early. We had explained to the Js about elections (very general explanation lah) so they were very curious. The boys were well behaved and were patient with any waiting. j2 stayed with me while the other two went with d. I asked j2 to stand in the “exit” corner when I actually went to the polling booth so I dont get the “WHY ARE YOU TICKING THAT ONE MUMMY?!” at full volume question.
the good lad went over and waited although he did come up to when I was putting my votes in the respective boxes. It was quite funny, he called out “oooo! one of them’s orange, it’s my favourite colour!” which made folks smile but it’s cool. D did get the question from j1 but no mention of which one d chose hahaha
I didnt fold one three times (although I asked the guy if it would be invalid cos of that (which would REALLY P.O. me), he said no, but better lah. So we plodded onwards to breakfast. They were rather excited (k was clueless but liked the outing anyway hehe).
D and I were chatting later while the kids were playing around out in the living room and we’ve realised something (or me in my half asleep state realised this) reg: what AAB said yday (see yday’s post). Basically he’s saying that Parliament is not the government and our elected representatives aren’t worth diddly, cos he’s saying it’s only MINISTERIAL posts that are the only way we can have representation of our interests (whatever racial thing is another story lah). So what is Parliament then? Ministers are supposed to be answerable to Parliament (under the law if I’m not wrong). So again AAB is barking up the wrong Pinang Tree. EEEEEEEEEhhh…
Voting is now closed, it shall be interesting! Hopefully the Rakyat took matters in their own hands and voted with their brains to give the ruling coalition a kick up the pants, the arrogant (@)%*%)@)@.
Enough said
