we’ve welcomed something new to our family…

no, no, not pregnant HAHAHAHA

The all new Nikon D50, digital slr for the slightly more enthusiastic amateur. D’s early xmas present which I got for him today hehehe.. more on that later..

K’s new stages..among other babblings..

he can now say “kay” (okay) when u ask him a question.. or “yes” (he has yet to learn the word ‘no’ which doesnt bode well for his discipline LOL). When he’s done eating or drinking, he’ll bring his plate/bowl/cup/sippy bottle to you and say “ished!” (or finished).. He tries to clean up too, or hands me the laundry (nemind it’s not dry, just wants to give me).. aww he’s a very helpful little lad when he wants to be LOL If k is hungry, he will ask for “mum-mum” (or feed/eating), he cant quite say “chiak” (eat) although he tries. If he’s thirsty, he’ll ask for “dink” (drink).. so I guess the both of us are learning to anticipate what he’s saying, most of it is still kiddie babble but it’s like hes talking in sentences. He’s very communicative though.. Very affectionate too, loves to give hugs (and wrestle u to the ground sometimes lol) and slobber kisses on u.. its such fun! he must have umpteen hugs before he goes to sleep.. funny fella.. speaking of sleeping, they ar egetting used to being in the same room together, which is good. K still hasnt learnt to fall asleep on own so Im still there for now (he’s settling in better so mebbe after penang, we can get to training for that).. He does tell me when he’s done a poo, so maybe in the new year, another milestone to tackle huh? Trying to talk abt it, he sees his brothers go too (esp when we are out) so u never know

We dont know if he’s a sleepwalker cos we’ve caught him going to either brother’s bed, eyes completely closed and fast asleep, sometimes he doesnt even make it half way and lies there bent over sleeping… Odd… hope he isnt a sleepwalker! The top stair gate is always fastened now at night (not that he can open door handles, despite his constant trying).. wonder how he willbe inpenang..

the Js have had such a busy social life lagi.. mummy tired lol They have a better social life than us!!! Good alsolah, esp during the school hols.. Cant wait to go to penang, gotta finally kick off this blasted blocked nose! UGH..  Nemind Can! Must have positive thinking!!!

the Xmas tree is out.. dug out the decorations, will have some more to get  tomorrow, most like window decoration, xmas napkins etc, must force myself NOT to go near living quarters. I soooo love their xmas stuff.. no.. no..no..must not.. go…. We are in 1U all day I should imagine with the powercut and all. hope the elec isnt off ALL day.. but just in case… Meeting Su also I think.. and offloading em at kidsports.. The kids want to help me decorate but not till daddy does the lights (that’s the MANLY job at xmas time hehe).. we did a bit today, put up their stockings etc.. WOOHOO cant wait!!!!!!

What a day :)

my helper wasnt available today so the Js and I had to get things together for the MGT (mini get together) for da mums and kids! They cleared and moved things and wiped da tables while I hoovered with k following me closely LOL got everything ready and it was great fun, mannnn was it noisy and full of kids!!!! hehehee despite the rain and an escapee little cutie of a dog (which Min and I returned to the owners in the pouring rain lol), it was a successful visit I believe. Pictures here. Didnt take many cos I almost forgot (too busy eating and yabbering and trying to stop k from running outside each time the door opened!! The food was FAB Thanks ladies (and kids) for a great time!!! Hope u had as good a time as we did. The Js crashed out very early (last visitor left around 530pm or so) and k just babbled till he crashed out. Looks like he’s not really napping anymore either.. sigh.. LOL he really does think he’s threeeeee..

It’s wonderful having this support group and mums from all backgrounds and family sizes.. the kids socialise so well and the mums too!!! (my waistline may be affected though lol they r such good cooks/bakers!)

Discovered new software :)

Thanks to one of the mummy cronies (and Min’s trying it out), I decided to also check out slide.com this enables to create slideshows online (usually with your blog) with your pictures. So I had a go..

School holiday blues..

yes… its barely day 3 of the long school hols and we are already restless….. I say “we” but I mean the little Cuddlies.. Some moments of distraction with bike riding and ball playing out front in the am.. and pancakes for lunch (oh wait a mess lol)… but its the “I would like to do this Mummy” while the other says “No, I would like to do that instead”… but suggest they do things seperately.. nooooooooooooooooo… kenot! and the gentle giant of K will bulldoze thru anything… Maybe some time in bubblebath will soothe for a min and collapse upstairs fora while.. while they in bath, I hv to fold and put away laundry… When someone says to me, “how do u find things to do to occupy ur time since u r a homemaker and stay at home mum….”, I wanna SLAP THEM.. hehehe

They enjoyed themselves so much yday (k the speed demon wore me out! and others too!), they wanna do it again but the next MGT is only next week.. at ours so that I dont have to keep chasing K! Cant take them to see daddy at work for lunchtime cos he’s so busy with testing for next two weeks, we barely see him at home… nemind, cant wait till penang, then they’d be happy in a different environment etc..

I know there are other mums (/parents)  also tearing their hair out trying to occupy their munchkins for the long holidays.. I sooooo empathise with you

From today’s MGT (Mini Get together) at Ikea, a few of the mummy cronies and kids got together to meet and chat and all.. kids had fun playing together, although kieran tried to escape from our clutches toooo often.. and he’s so fast, we all had a hard time catching him! (thanks to those who helped me there!!!), whew!

Our little baby is growing up :)

K was finally weaned this week, (he had taken to biting each feed, which is unusual really) so we went for the cold turkey wean (ouch, my poor boobs!), he was fine, only time he try to ask for it is when he wanted comforting or his nap time (he’s funnier abt it than at night, which is opposite) but he’s quite happy and cheery so we are cool so far I’ll miss the convenience I can tell you that! I’ve had to express (not fully empty) to relieve the pressure etc cos Im producing more milk that I thought LOL  but hopefully that will settle down soon..

He’s now moved to an under bed or a trundle bed and I have my three sons in a room together now.. such excitement at first LOL LOL but its lovely to see the three of them fast asleep in their beds.. K thinks he’s three LOL and tries to behave like it! He wants to feed himself (and his surroundings lol), chats away and just follows his brothers around.. He’s 19months next week.. wow! where has the time flown? J2 asked me today when is k 2? I said in 5 more months (then I thought waah yeah hor!?). He said YAY then k can go to school with me! So I also said YAY! hehehe

Fortunately he’s a loving, cuddly, independent little lad (stubborn and persistent too lol), he loves to give kisses and cuddles to his family, “yang yang!” or sayang and then he gives u a BIG BEAR hug around your legif u cant reach down to him, or he half squeezes his brothers LOL .. It is such joy (even if u do have a headache or something lol) to hear their laughter and giggles as they play with each other, this little boy determinedly running after his older brothers who tickle him as they dash by.. or when they collapse into giggles on the floor or bean bag/sofa in a big pile…

We are truly blessed with our children…
